ChatGPT Enterprise is OpenAI's plan for large organizations, sold through its sales team with no public price as of Nov 6, 2026, adding SCIM, enterprise key management, data residency, the Compliance API and flexible credit pricing to everything in Business.

ChatGPT Enterprise has no public price: as of Nov 6, 2026 you buy it by filling in OpenAI's contact form, and its sales team quotes per organization (What is ChatGPT Enterprise?). It is ChatGPT for large companies, with the controls a security or compliance team asks for: SCIM user provisioning, enterprise key management (EKM), role-based access, the Compliance API, data retention and residency controls and priority processing (learn.chatgpt.com). By default OpenAI does not train on Enterprise data. Enterprise launched on Aug 28, 2023; ChatGPT Edu for universities and free ChatGPT for Teachers sit beside it.

What does ChatGPT Enterprise add?

Enterprise includes everything in ChatGPT Business and adds, per OpenAI's pricing docs and help articles read Nov 6, 2026:

Identity and access. Domain verification, single sign-on and SCIM, so accounts are created and removed from your identity provider, and role-based access control (What is ChatGPT Enterprise?, learn.chatgpt.com).
Data controls. Enterprise key management, the Compliance API (which sees even Temporary Chats for 30 days, Temporary chat help), retention settings and data residency controls (learn.chatgpt.com).
Speed. Priority processing (learn.chatgpt.com).
Longer context than lower plans (What is ChatGPT Enterprise?).
Higher allowances. 40 files per project (Projects), 15 active scheduled tasks (Tasks), and Dots for eligible workspaces, available by default from Nov 18, 2026 unless an admin opts out (Getting started with your dot).

Enterprise is not eligible for the API credits that come with Pro and Business (API credits benefit), and ads never appear (Ads in ChatGPT).

Models and limits

"The ChatGPT Enterprise plan offers virtually unlimited messages for eligible base models" (Enterprise and Edu models and limits). GPT-6 Sol powers Instant through Extra High in Chat; the Pro option uses GPT-6 Pro, powered by GPT-6 Astra, with Pro Standard and Pro Extended where available. "GPT-6 Astra is off by default at launch" in Enterprise and Edu, and GPT-6.1 Sol is off for Work and Codex until an admin turns it on (learn.chatgpt.com). Instant no longer switches to higher thinking by itself in Enterprise and Edu, except for specialized medical routing.

In ChatGPT Work and Codex, Enterprise and Edu on flexible pricing have no fixed limits: usage is billed (learn.chatgpt.com). Eligible Enterprise and Edu workspaces can also use Ultrafast mode, which among personal plans only Pro 500 has (ChatGPT Work and Codex).

How is Enterprise billed?

Enterprise is sold with annual plans (chatgpt.com/pricing). Since Apr 23, 2026, workspaces on credit billing pay for Codex in credits, and eligible Enterprise agreements can use token-based billing in US dollars instead (not Edu or Healthcare); on Apr 2, 2026 OpenAI added a Codex-only seat with flexible pricing (What is ChatGPT Enterprise?).

ChatGPT Edu

ChatGPT Edu is the university version, introduced on May 30, 2024. It has "Substantially higher message limits than ChatGPT Free", GPT building and sharing inside the workspace, SSO and SCIM, and no public price (ChatGPT Edu). ChatGPT for Teachers and other special plans

ChatGPT for Teachers is free for verified US K-12 educators through June 2028, with ChatGPT Work, plugins, Sites, Space, deep research, voice (3 hours a day) and image creation; it is not for students. OpenAI also runs ChatGPT for Clinicians, free for verified US clinicians since Apr 22, 2026, and ChatGPT for Healthcare workspaces (release notes). FedRAMP workspaces have their own dates: their Custom GPTs retire on Feb 11, 2027 rather than Dec 11, 2026 (Custom GPT retirement).

Enterprise or Business?

ChatGPT Business has a public price ($20 to $25 a seat for Standard), self-serve sign-up, SAML SSO and no training on your data. Choose Enterprise when you need SCIM, enterprise key management, the Compliance API, data residency, priority processing or usage-based billing for Codex across many people. OpenAI publishes no seat minimum for Enterprise in the pages read on Nov 6, 2026.

How to buy ChatGPT Enterprise

There is no checkout for Enterprise or Edu: the pricing docs say only "contact sales" (learn.chatgpt.com). You fill in OpenAI's contact form, and the quote, the agreement and the billing model (credits or US dollars by token) come from its sales team (What is ChatGPT Enterprise?). Once the workspace exists, its admins verify the company's domain and connect SSO and SCIM.
